A leading Data/Services business is seeking a dynamic Global Account Director to manage a key global account and grow one of their most important global client relationships – Microsoft.
In this high-visibility role, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end relationship with Microsoft — aligning their evolving business priorities with the firm’s Data, analytics and custom solutions. This role serves as a strategic advisor, commercial lead, and internal advocate for Microsoft across all lines of business and global regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Ownership: Serve as the primary relationship manager for Microsoft, responsible for account strategy, growth, and satisfaction globally.
- Strategic Planning: Build and maintain a long-term account plan that aligns with Microsoft’s business objectives across business units (e.g., Azure, Security, Modern Work, AI).
- Revenue Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Microsoft’s engagement across research subscriptions, data products, and custom engagements.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with research, consulting, marketing, and product teams to ensure timely delivery of services and value to the client.
- Advisory Support: Guide Microsoft stakeholders on how to leverage the organization’s insights to inform strategic initiatives, product launches, and market positioning.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with senior Microsoft stakeholders across marketing, product, strategy, and partner teams.
- Performance Monitoring: Track service delivery, usage, satisfaction, and renewal timelines to ensure consistent value delivery and long-term retention.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in strategic account management, enterprise sales, or client services within the technology sector.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft’s business structure, solutions portfolio, and partner ecosystem.
- Experience working in or with an advisory, consulting organization or within Microsoft directly.
- Proven ability to manage complex global accounts and coordinate across internal teams.
- Excellent communication, commercial acumen, and project management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a technology-related field; MBA is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with enterprise technologies including cloud computing, AI, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
- Experience supporting GTM (go-to-market), strategy, or marketing teams at large tech firms.
- Ability to navigate and influence in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
